FLÄVIT LEPUS PARVULUS
The following song, told from the point of view of a rabbit, is said to have been popular with students of Latin once upon a time. A 1916 Handbook for Latin refers to it as a â16th century student song.â The music website Mama Lisaâs World (mamalisa.com) traces it back to 12th-century Germany. There are more lyrics to this song, but I opted not to include them, as they are about eating the rabbit at a feast.
